MEHVAC Journal Heating and cooling, explained.

Help & publication information

This is a reader publication, not a support desk or sales line. Here is where to start in the guides, how we keep them accurate, and who to call when a specific unit needs attention.

Start with the guides

These guides cover sizing, safe heating checks, and cold-weather performance. Each one links the primary sources behind it, so you can read the original material yourself:

Equipment support and service

For a fault, a warranty question, or an installation on a specific unit, the people who can actually help are the manufacturer's support line for your model and a qualified local HVAC technician. MEHVAC Journal is an independent publication — not a manufacturer, contractor, or lead service — so we don't service equipment, book visits, or pass your details to anyone.

How we source and correct our guides

The guides are built from primary sources and checked against them. Our editorial policy explains how we use those sources, label manufacturer material, and mark where a homeowner should stop and call a professional, and the about page covers who publishes the work. When we find or confirm an error, we check it against the original material and update the guide.
