We’re thrilled to announce that our headquarters, located in Suwanee, Georgia, recently received two Green Globes from the Green Building Initiative (GBI).
Green Globes is a green building rating and certification system that awards a building one to four Green Globes based on its sustainability features and practices. According to the system, our two Green Globes demonstrate “excellent progress in the reduction of environmental impacts and use of environmental efficiency practices.”
Our Suwanee offices opened in 2013 and were designed with the Green Globes rating system in mind. In fact, the offices feature our very own Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) zoning systems, which contributed a substantial number of points in the Energy and Indoor Environment assessment areas. To further support our sustainable efforts, we’ve also created an Environmental Committee, whose sole purpose is to promote a company-wide focus on energy reduction, reuse and recycling. To date, the committee has successfully introduced recycling in our coffee areas and lunchroom, as well as created a wood and plastic collection area in our local warehouse.
We’re proud of this prestigious accomplishment and look forward to finding new ways to continue our commitment to sustainability. Click here to learn more about Green Globes and how to make your building a symbol of sustainable practices.
