We’re excited to announce that our MLZ One-Way Ceiling Cassette and CITY MULTI® WR2-Series Water-Source Heat Recovery System are winners in Architectural Products’ 2018 Product Innovation Awards (PIA)!
This is the eighth year the publication has held the PIA, which honors innovation in the development and refinement of buildings-related products. This year, submissions were judged by a group of 16 independent industry professionals including architects, interior designers and technical experts.
There were 10 winners and Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS) was the only HVAC manufacturer represented. Both the MLZ and WR2 won in the HVAC and Energy Management category.
With its sleek and narrow-body design and ability to fit seamlessly between 16-inch joists, the MLZ is discreet and energy efficient: a gamechanger for the residential market. Additionally, unlike competing ceiling cassettes, the MLZ can be serviced from below without an access panel.
The WR2 proved to be a standout for its ability to deliver commercial building energy savings. It features a compact size and convenient front-only service access. This water-source VRF system, used in geothermal and other types of applications, can be easily installed indoors, delivering enhanced performance in cold climates.
We are proud to see these outstanding products recognized by the industry. Be sure to check out all the award winners in the November 15 issue of Architectural Products.
