Mitsubishi Electric introduces its MLZ Series One-Way Ceiling Cassette.
An expansion of our M-Series line, the product features a sleek, narrow-body ceiling cassette design. Designed to fit between standard 16-inch joists, the MLZ can be easily installed in existing homes and new construction projects. The unit can be serviced from below without requiring an access panel – eliminating the need for HVAC contractors to modify the surrounding area for installation and maintenance.
In addition, the ceiling cassette’s design provides quality conditioning and flexibility. The unit is effective regardless of ceiling height because of its adjustable airflow. Auto vane control is capable of adjusting air direction based on the homeowner’s comfort needs. A built-in filtration system also improves indoor air quality when operating and an additional anti-allergy enzyme feature is available, helping to trap allergens such as mold, bacteria and other irritants.
“We developed this product to be appropriate for a wide variety of applications. It is designed to fit between existing joists with the ability to service from below. This combination provides simplicity in the installation and service of the system,” said Brinnon Williams, director of residential product development, Mitsubishi Electric. “It’s practical in that regard, but the resulting quality of airflow and customer experience remains unchanged.”
Mitsubishi Electric’s MLZ One-Way Ceiling Cassette, along with the PVA Multi-Position Air Handler were recently recognized in the 2018 Residential Cooling Showcase hosted by ACHR News. The annual cooling showcase features new-to-market products from about 40 HVAC manufacturers located across the country.
