Chris Pine, Majestic Air Conditioning, Spring, Texas

Chris Pine, operations manager of Majestic Air Conditioning in Spring, Texas opened his business in 2002. In doing so, he followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, who had opened his own A/C company 30 years earlier.

Majestic Air Conditioning initially focused on new construction, but today about 80 percent of its business is in retrofitting older homes. Part of that shift can be attributed to Pine’s participation in the Diamond Contractor Program and the training and support that comes with it.

Why Mitsubishi Electric?

“Everybody knows growth is an important part of a business, and everybody wants to grow, but you have to partner with the right companies and products to do that successfully,” says Pine. “What we’ve learned since becoming a Diamond Contractor is that no other brand or manufacturer takes training as seriously as Mitsubishi Electric does. As a company, they prioritize educating their contractors and giving us the tools and support we need just as much as they care about making money. I respect that.”

Pine and his team try to attend every training program they can, taking advantage of their close proximity to metropolitan Houston where classes are often held. With more advanced knowledge under their belts, they’ve seen fewer errors in the field and, except for routine maintenance, rarely have to return to a job site after installation. Pine also frequently attends conferences, adding “I really appreciate how much detail goes into the conferences. No other brand trains its contractors so well.”

Why Split-Ductless?

“Aside from learning about the products and how they’re serviced, I’ve learned some eye-opening facts about the split-ductless systems, including IAQ and health benefits. I appreciate being able to share this knowledge with my customers and explain why traditional ducted systems may be out of site but they’re not out of mind. Not to mention, they’re less efficient and usually cost the homeowner more money on utility bills.”
