Chris Parker, Command Comfort, Long Beach, California

Chris Parker, owner of Command Comfort in Long Beach, California, founded his company in 2008 with the intention of being a “do-it-all” air-conditioning installation company. However, he quickly discovered that the Long Beach market was saturated with older homes that were built without air conditioning of any kind.

This realization opened the door for Parker to hone the company’s focus to split-ductless sales, which provided a flexible, energy-efficient HVAC solution for retrofitting these older homes. Embracing the opportunity, Command Comfort become the local go-to for split-ductless systems.

A Commitment to Mitsubishi Electric

Pursuing the Elite Diamond Contractor designation, which Parker earned in 2015, requires a commitment to training hours and sales. “You need to make Mitsubishi Electric a large part of your business; you need to prioritize the brand, love the products and believe in them,” said Parker. Command Comfort also conducts its own extensive in-house training specific to the market.

Doing so has ultimately given the firm a selling advantage in the highly competitive Orange County, California market. They are the area’s only Elite Diamond Contractor, a designation that doesn’t go unnoticed by their customers, who trust their training and expertise.

Selling Split-Ductless

We guarantee to the customer that we will do a great job.”

Parker and his team offer customers the opportunity to experience Mitsubishi Electric split-ductless technology and visualize where the indoor and outdoor units will be placed in their homes with a demo system. Certified Comfort Advisors perform load calculations and design the perfect system. Once homeowners are comfortable with the agreed plan, the Command Comfort technicians begin the installation.
