We’re excited to participate in the inaugural AEC BuildTech Conference & Expo, April 30 – May 2, 2019 in Rosemont, Illinois! Developed to spotlight the latest design and building processes, products and emerging technologies, the three-day conference will bring together architects, engineers, contractors, facility managers, building owners and more. AEC BuildTech will offer six educational tracks to inform and inspire: HVACR/mechanical systems, flooring, building envelope, roofing and general contracting.
Our own Paul Chaves, technical training manager, is one of the speakers on the HVACR/Mechanical Systems track, presenting, “Getting Started with VRF: Best Practices and Common Misconceptions.” Developed for HVAC professionals, the presentation explains what contractors need to know to successfully work with Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems and dispels common myths and misconceptions about functionality, performance and installation.
- Identify VRF system components as well as basic best practices for applications and installation
- Explain the similarities and differences between VRF systems and traditional HVAC systems in terms of functionality, performance and installation requirements
- Dispel common myths and misconceptions about VRF systems including those related to ACCA sizing guidelines, wiring, piping and maintenance
- Make a case to company leadership and clients describing the advantages and opportunities associated with specifying, applying and installing VRF systems
As we’re dedicated to solving problems in the industry and providing effective, energy-efficient solutions for the built environment, we’re proud to be a part of this ground-breaking conference!
